We had a very lovely first day after all the stress of getting the luggage from the airport, into the taxi and to the hotel. Inside the airport there is a stand that has a fix price of 24 Euros, 118 Pesos ARS from the airport to the center of the city... no matter where in the city.
The trip:
We were driven from Meran to Bozen and took the 11:37 train from Bozen (Bolzano) to Verona, from Verona to Milano [30 Euro p.p]. Our train from Bozen was half an hour late because of some "tragic accident on the tracks that the police had to look into". No biggie, we were still on time.
Then when we arrived to Milan where, we took a shuttle bus to the airport that took a bit more than an hour, since it drives through the city [5 Euro p.p].
Once at the airport we split up since Stefan had a different flight an hour earlier. He had to hurry since we got to the airport at 17:45 and Stefan's flight was at 19:00.
Half an hour later and 56 Kg lighter Andi and I set off to find our gate. While waiting for the hand luggage check, we remembered we had some water... I tried to fish it out of Andi's back pack and broke the zipper of the largest pocket. We ended up having to buy a replacement at the duty free shop. Luckily it wasn't too hard to convince Andi to buy a bag since there were Juventus items available :) So for 15 Euros we got him a pretty nice beach-bag to replace his broken back pack.
Our TAM flight was great... we had our own TV's. We watched "Julie and Julia" aswell as Disney's "Up!". Both truely wonderful movies... "Up!" did make me cry here and there... it was heart breaking... but it reminded me of how short this life is and that I really want to make the best of it... with the man I love. <3
Once we arrived in Sao Paulo, we had to wait in line for 45 min until it was our turn to go through the only baggage check and metal detector they had available for that exit. That sucked... the poor guy infront of us with his cat had to let the cat through the baggage infrared (?) maschine :(
He said he didn't want to cause the cat would get scared! This reminds of Antonella's story... but that's not mine to tell! Anyway... Andi and I were reminded that, yes, we did make the right decision of leaving Europi at Evi's house, Thomas' girlfriend. I think she is taken good care of there. Then Andi and I took a nap by Gate 9 before we left off to our Gate 2 heading for Buenos Aires.
After we collected our 56 Kg, we headed off to find Stefan waiting for us at the exit of the Terminal. Reunited we headed off to the hoStel. :D

We got to the hostel at 15:00, after checking in we went to our 3-bed room, showered (seperately! hehe) and left to the city centre only 20 minutes away.
We walked around a lot... saw some stuff, ate hamburgers at some restaurant not worth mentioning... walked around some more and had a beer... then we were too tired to continue so went back to the hostel. So this is where we are now!!
Pictures will follow shortly!
